Here are some of the questions that prospective clients most frequently ask. If you need to know anything else that's more specific to your particular product, don't hesitate to get in touch.

It's my idea... what's to stop a manufacturer from copying it and selling it elsewhere?
At Sorcit we've built up a strong network of manufacturers we can trust. We only work with manufacturers that we personally have fully audited and that we know to have a strong management ethos. Where a design is particularly sensitive we also require the factory to sign a non-disclosure agreement before we agree any concepts or drawings.

What about quality... how can I be sure it's going to be good enough when it arrives?
It doesn't matter whether the manufacturer is based in Europe, America or the Far East, strong management with quality control measures are key. At Sorcit China we have our own quality control team who implement rigorous checks during production and at the final packing stage.

How long's it going to take... from development through manufacturing to delivery?
It really depends on the product but as a general guide it takes around 2-3 weeks for each sample development stage - add another 30-45 days for special tooling. Once you've approved the sample and placed an order with the factory, it takes another 45-60 days, plus up to 30 days for shipping.

When do I need to pay?
Our payment terms tend to mirror our manufacturers' - 30% deposit on order confirmation and then the balance when the goods are shipped by the manufacturer. We can extend the terms by increasing the cost slightly, depending on the exact length.

Can I specify where my product is delivered to?
Yes, you can choose from three types of shipping which will be included in the cost:

• FOB (Free On Board), delivered to the manufacturer's shipping port
• CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) delivered to your receiving port, including marine insurance
• DDP Delivered Duty Paid) delivered direct to your warehouse, including all customs, charges, duty and insurance
